ACCOUNTING CLERK I

A DIRECT-HIRE POSITION

INDUSTRY: STAFFING / RECRUITING 

LOCATION: NEWPORT NEWS

40 HOURS / WEEK

CTR Corporation is currently recruiting for an Accounting Clerk I to work in a fast paced office.

Duties may include any of the following:

Payroll:
- Entering hours into an automated payroll system.
-Importing time into the payroll system.
-reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of all payroll related transactions.
-work with various types of contracts and situations to process payroll such as Davis Bacon, Service Contract Act, etc.
-Track holidays and vacations.
-Process various deductions from pay.

Invoicing:
-Process invoices through automated system.
-Process government billing statements and assemble required documentation.
-review and ensure the accuracy of all invoicing activity.

Maintain various ledgers and documents in the course of processing accounting data.
Assist in the accounting department in any area needed.

Job Requirements

Must have at least an Associates Degree in Accounting.  

Must have an exceptional eye for detail.

Must be able to multitask .

Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment.

ADMIN ASSISTANT / RECEPTIONIST

A TEMP-HIRE POSITION

INDUSTRY:  HEATING & COOLING CONTRACTOR

LOCATION: SMITHFIELD

PAY RATE: $15 - $20 per Hour 

Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm 

 SUMMARY:

Will be answering phones, taking customer orders, scheduling appointments. Will enter data into the database and QuickBooks, input tickets, process warranty claims. Process paychecks and invoices.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Administrative experience with a construction company or contractor highly desired
  • 2-3 years of Receptionist experience
  • Excellent computer skills: proficient in MS Word and Outlook
  • QuickBooks proficiency
  • Interact well with customers and employees
  • Experience taking customer orders
  • Experienced handling two phone lines
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a very busy work atmosphere

ADMIN ASSISTANT: Part-Time

CONTRACT POSITION: until April 15

LOCATION: WILLIAMSBURG

INDUSTRY: ACCOUNTING 

PAY RATE: $11 per hour

A part-time position (about 15-20 hours per week) 

 

Brief Summary:

Established CPA firm is seeking Administrative Assistant to help during tax season:

     

    • Copying and assembling tax returns
    • Miscellaneous other typical office duties as assigned by office manager

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Prior Administrative experience
    • Excellent communication and listening skills
    • Must be teachable, able to follow directions, and pay great attention to detail
    • Current College Student or Recent College Graduate with some administrative experience strongly preferred
