INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS DESIGNERS

PAY RATE: Up to $26 per Hour 

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Conceptualize and develop training scenarios, tools, aids, curriculums, and other state-of-the-art  technologies related to training and behavioral science. Select the best training requirements to include hardware, software, simulations, assessment, examinations, interviews, computer assisted testing, behavior-based assessment and performance, and team assessment and measurement. Make use of best methodologies in applied psychology, psychometrics, human factors engineering, educational measurement, and related disciplines. Develop and maintain knowledge bases, conduct research methodologies, develop tests, surveys, training materials, statistical analysis. Identify and incorporate new research and development areas.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in appropriate field (B.S. or M.S. degree in Instructional Systems Design preferred)
  • 5+ years experience in building instructional systems or building online training (8+ years preferred)
  • DoD (Army or Navy) experience
  • Experience with ADDIE methodology
  • Experience developing online courseware in a CLE (Collaborative Learning Environment) such as Sakai

MULTIMEDIA DEVELOPER / GRAPHIC ARTIST

3 CONTRACT POSITIONS, Long-Term

INDUSTRY: GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR

LOCATION: NEWPORT NEWS

PAY RATE: Up to $24 per Hour 

 

SUMMARY:

Seeking three basic to intermediate Multimedia Developers / Graphic Artists.

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Graphics, Graphic Design, Art or other related field
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Adobe animate publishing to Canvas elements
  • Ability to create courses using Storyline and Captivate
  • 3D modeling, texturing and animation a plus
  • Graphic design, layout, creative services, customer focus
  • Must be deadline-oriented
  • HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript coding
  • Adobe Creative Cloud suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Knowledge of W3C web standards and ADA compliance
  • Portfolio highlighting relevant experience
  • Will be required to complete a 30-minute task to demonstrate skills with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications.

 

Preferred:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing 2D and 3D art and animations
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign 
  • Experience developing tracking features in immersive training and games
  • Knowledge of xAPI learning-technology
  • Experience developing interactive multimedia in Virtual Battlespace (VBS2 / VBS3)
  • Use of Microsoft C# in support of Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR development
  • Experience developing immersive training and or serious games using Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality

PROGRAM DIRECTOR / GRANT WRITER

A TEMP-HIRE POSITION

LOCATION: WILLIAMSBURG

PAY RATE $20 per Hour

Schedule: 8am-4pm Mon-Fri 

  

SUMMARY: 

Seeking a Program Director to manage program, communications, development, and fundraising for association catering to college students. Ideal candidate is resourceful, a good problem solver, and superbly organized.  

  • Learn and navigate the CRM software (Constituent Relations Management) system and DonorPerfect for the nonprofit college association to maintain donor/member information, generate reports, and manage communications.
  • Manage social media and website resources for college association to maintain current, accurate information.
  • Manage weekly, monthly, and seasonal communications with alumni, parents, and current students through social media, e-mail marketing via ConstantContact email software and hard mailers.
  • Manage and coordinate volunteers for program activities
  • Identify potential grants and manage application and execution of grant proposals throughout the year.
  • Create and distribute annual report for the college association at the end of the academic year. 
  • Manage calendar for the association with timetables and signup sheets for programs and events.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Development, Marketing, and/or Communications
  • Experience with Grant Writing and Proposals
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in writing and editing
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially in Word and Excel
  • Willingness to learn Donor Perfect CRM software and Constant Contact email software
  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency 
  • Interact well with staff and students
